Identify the bottle neck
Identify Process Bottleneck
The first step to identify the bottle neck is to map out the core processes. Then in depth analysis will be conducted to understand why a certain process is being conducted.
Why, Why, Why, Why, Why?
Process Automation
Look for potential automation in everything that you do. Saving 5 minutes in one of the process that was conducted 12 times a day is equivalent to 1 hour saving a day, which equate to 5 hours per week.
This can be done through scripting, shell script, bash script, batch script, excel macros, and many more ways possible.
System Integration
If you have 5 systems that are not connected, that means you have to copy your data five times across to different systems.
If you can connect all the systems that means less time copying, pasting and formatting the data. Make sure your system supports API, ODBC, REST, XML, or any other method that allow it to interact to others.
